Why doesn't my soup have a shrink-wrapped seal or plastic seal?

There is no tamper seal on soup jars, smoothies, or jarred salads. Since we moved to the JAR12s (packaging type) for smoothies, we have not had a seal put on them, so the jar salad type screw on caps don’t have it.

There has been some testing done with paper type seals, but more work is needed to customize by using proper paper/plastic combination seal that won’t break by accident in transit, defeating the purpose. The same screw-on cap is used for soups that are frozen making seal adhesives less effective and once taken out of freezer, moisture weakens the seal causing it to break. Besides finding a seal that’s compatible with all lids, it also needs to be something that will fit current the current operations workflow easily, which we do not have quite yet.
