We use industry standard methods meaning EPA approved products to wash our produce. Our wash system is designed to be an antimicrobial treatment meaning it reduces harmful pathogens on the surface of fresh cut produce and in wash water, removes waxes and residues, improves crisp texture of produce, controls (kills) spoilage organisms, extends produce shelf life and reduces waste, and does not impart any off-flavor or odor. All components are Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) and have been cleared by the FDA for the intended use in a ready to eat processing.
